Tattoos are living images that reveal important stories about our residents, our community, and the tattoo phenomenon. My Story, My Tattoo is a travelling art exhibit from the Wellington County Museum and Archives featuring 32 thought-provoking photographs and stories of people and their amazing tattoos.  Featuring the stories and tattoos of more than 30 people from Wellington County as well as the artists behind these creations of ink and skin, participants represent every walk of life - everyone from a cancer survivor to teachers and their students, a firefighter and a farmer.

Each images includes a short biography, and audio and video stations throughout the exhibit give visitors a chance to hear and see the compelling and, in some cases, amusing stories behind each image.

All of the individuals were open and honest, and their stories and personalities are represented through this series of thought-provoking and colourful images. Large photographs by Wellington County photographer Chris Piccinetti allow guests to view the tattoos close up and see the detail and artistry of each design.

Organized and circulated by Wellington County Museum and Archives.
