Take your students on a virtual field trip at Schneider Haus National Historic Site. Until we can welcome you back for in-person field trips, we are developing FREE online resources to help you enliven learning.

Bringing the museum to your classroom. We are taking the very best of our onsite education programs and activities and offering FREE 30 minute virtual programs to engage your students.
Feathered Friends - Suggested Grades JK/SK |
Students will visit with a Teacher / Interpreter to learn about the stages of development inside the egg, watch a few ‘egg’-experiments, do some birdie-dancing, and discover our ‘feathered friends’ from all around the world.

Canadian Wildlife: Mammals - Suggested Grades 2 & 4 |
Museum staff will share items from our natural history collection to learn about local mammals, focusing on the similarities and differences between herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores.

Canadian Wildlife: Birds, Amphibians and Reptiles - Suggested Grades 2 & 4 |
Compare the similarities and differences between local reptiles and amphibians, and explore native bird species with a live virtual owl pellet dissection.

We are offering teachers, students, and families the opportunity to use this fully developed program to conduct their own oral history interview and literally make history.
